Congressional App Challenge

I am pleased to announce my office is hosting the 2025 Congressional App Challenge!

The challenge is a competition aimed at encouraging middle school and high school students to learn how to code by creating their own applications. The competition is open to students residing in or attending school in Missouri’s 7th Congressional District. It is intended to highlight the value of STEM (science, technology, engineering and math) and computer science education.

I know how crucial these skills are as someone with a programming background, and I want to encourage students to engage in these fields. I hope to shine a light on the growing importance of these skills by encouraging and recognizing our district’s young programming talent.

I strongly encourage students of all skill levels to participate and learn how to create their own apps! These are high-demand jobs, and to maintain America’s competitiveness, it’s crucial we invest in our youth now and help them acquire these valuable skills.
